Haveli x Thicketts Collective
The Thicketts Collective is a training hub and handcraft startup made up of female members of the Thicketts Community of St.Ann, Jamaica. In pursuit of our mission to use “fashion as an agent for social change”, Haveli conceptualized the Collective to foster community development through artisanal production and creative entrepreneurship. 100% of the net proceeds of all Thicketts Collective products belong to the Collective for reinvestment and growth.

The Equity Bracelets Initiative
A crowdfunding campaign for investment in the Thicketts Community to fund training workshops and the acquisition of materials and equipment. Each of these colourful, handmade Equity Bracelets represents an investment. The team is compensated for every bracelet produced upfront and 100% of the net proceeds belong to the Collective to reinvest and grow.
Our First Sewing Workshop
In February 2021, we carried out our first sewing workshop conducted by master seamstress, Rosemarie Malcolm. With part of the proceeds of the Equity Bracelets Initiative, launched in November 2020, the Collective invested in 3 sewing machines and materials. Rosemarie taught the group the different parts of the machines and their functions, how to sew a hem and seam and we even made little pouches. Stay tuned to see what the Collective makes next!
Thank you for your support of the Thicketts Collective. Your investment in the Collective will make more training workshops and the development of new products possible. If you’d like to contribute and get your very own Equity Bracelets please click the link below.
